This property is located approx. 1.8 miles S/SE of Padua or approx. 4 miles W/NW of Elrosa. Great amount pheasants in the area. The general area stretching from Paynesville to Glenwood is a sleeper in the state for the amount of game species that it produces and namely again pheasants and good whitetails. The property is a general mix of dotted wetland pockets and prairie some of which appears to be remnant. The character spreads across the entire property instead of a big block of grass and then a large wetland complex. There are areas of very nice tall upland prairie grasses (Big Bluegrass and Indian Grass). All of it makes a great mix for pheasant hunting as well as who knows when a good buck spends the night on the property or travels through it. The property has been restored and is in a Pheasants Forever / Fish and Wildlife Service conservation easement. The last thing to mention is that there was an approx. 5 acre building site left out of the easement (see the maps). This is located in the NE corner of the property including the wooded area and some grassland outside of that which would be a great spot for expanding upon a food plot area. There is also a very expansive amount of public land in the are including those areas that provide access to water to duck hunt.
