The popular Fred Howard Park and idyllic Sunset Beach are about 2.5 miles away. The downtown district and world-famous Sponge Docks provide a variety of shops and restaurants. Bayous and canals zigzag the area, so dolphin and manatee sightings are quite frequent. There are multiple marinas within a five-mile radius, including two visible across Anclote River. Golf carts are welcome in the community and in Tarpon Springs at large. The closest golf course is 10 minutes away; the well-known Innisbrook Golf Resort is 15 minutes away. So is AL Anderson park on the freshwater Lake Tarpon, the largest lake in Pinellas County. US Hwy 19, running along the lake, is a major north/south thoroughfare.
