The Beal Cottage—once the home of Professor George Beal, longtime chair of the University of Kansas Architecture Department and aT aliesin Fellow. Beal lived, worked, and studied under the legendary Frank Lloyd Wright at both Taliesin, Wright’s iconic Wisconsin estate, and Taliesin West in Arizona. As Wright made seasonal drives between Taliesin and Taliesin West, it’s said he and his family would pause their journey here at 1710 Indiana Street, welcomed by the Beals into this cozy retreat.
