Size: the house is bigger than the numbers might make it appear. Inside the four walls and including both levels, there are almost 3,00 square feet of bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen/living room/and dining room, laundry room, shop, garage, storage room, and rec room. Location: our quiet, small neighborhood is less than an hour's walk from downtown and Indiana University, only a few minutes walk from South High School and the B-Line bike/walking trail, and similarly close to restaurants, banks, grocery stores, and an elementary school. The house is almost sixty years old, and occasionally parts need replacement or modernization. Some of our improvement to the house during the seven years we have been here include: rewiring the circuit breaker box, adding several inches of insulation to the attic, replacing the counter-tops and sink and range in the kitchen, changing the dining room flooring from carpet to ceramic tile, retiling the shower in the master bath, putting in a moisture-prevention system in the basement, and replacing the gutters. Several of the dozen trees we planted have grown up beautifully!
