The curious case of Canada’s online shopping preferences
Believe it or not, Canadian citizens continue to search online for homes for sale in the United States, particularly in states with warmer climates. To get a better idea of the online shopping searches of the Canadian consumer Estately used Google Trends to measure Canadian internet searches using the Google Shopping option. With this tool we were able to determine which items each province/territory searched for online with more frequency than all others during the past five years.
Depending on your perspective, the results are either quite fascinating or mildly disturbing. You can view all the searches that each province/territory was tops for in our list below, and you can view the American version of this map.
