What Political Topics Does Each State Google More Than Any Other State?

It’s no secret that the United States is a politically divided country, but it’s more than just a hodgepodge of blue and red states. Estately set out to see how states differ politically when it comes to their internet searches. To do this we used Google Trends to measure, which states over the past 12 months had the most searches for a variety of political topics, including candidates, issues, news sources, political organizations, parties, and more. The results were interesting, to say the least. Who knew the Pacific Northwest was so interested in anarchism, or that New Hampshire has been dutifully researching female presidential candidates, or that Montana is so paranoid, or that Oklahoma can’t be bothered to turn on their computers?
